Biodesign and lake design

We design water that looks like it was always there. Beach-entry pools, natural swimming pools, streams, and private lakes, planned for owners, architects, and builders.

What we design

Water shaped by the land around it

Every project starts with the site. Where the water wants to sit, how it moves, what stone is already there, and how it stays clear without a fight.

Biodesign pools

Resin-sand beach pools with a sand entry, rock set right in the water, and a shape that follows the yard. The liner holds the rock and flexes through freeze and thaw.

Lakes and ponds

Private lakes and large ponds, planned from the dig to the shoreline. This is where HiTide started.

Natural swimming pools

Swimming ponds with no chlorine. Plants and natural filtration keep the water clear, hidden in the landscaping instead of boxed in beside the pool.

Streams and water features

Streams, waterfalls, and reflecting pools, shaped to the slope and built from stone that matches the site.

Where it started

It started with lakes in Texas

HiTide Designs began with lake work in Texas. Tyler Brown designed and built lakes there, and consulted for the owners and crews behind others.

A lake teaches you to read the land. You learn where water wants to settle, how it moves through the seasons, and how to keep it clear with design instead of chemicals.

The same thinking goes into every pool, pond, and stream we plan today.

Selected lake projects

Example
  1. Private lakeTexas Hill Country. Design and build.
  2. Ranch pond and shorelineCentral Texas. Design consulting.
  3. Community lakeTexas. Consulting for the builder.

How we work

From a first call to water on the site

A first call

Tell us about the property and the water you have in mind. We look at the site together on Google Earth and talk through budget.

A design

Shape, depth, rock, planting, and how the water stays clean, drawn for your site and your climate.

Build support

We work alongside your builder, or our sister companies build it. Either way we stay on the project until the water is in.

We work with homeowners, architects, landscape architects, and builders.

Tell us about your project

Send a note with where the property is and what you have in mind. Photos or plans help if you have them.
